PROMISING four-year-old mare Tanzanite appears city bound after good back-to-back Sunshine Coast wins.

"We'll probably look for a fillies and mares race in town next start,'' said trainer Stuart Kendrick after her win at Caloundra on Sunday, February 15.

Ridden by Luke Tarrant, who made a return to riding following suspension, Tanzanite ($3.50) raced handy just behind the leader.

She moved up menacingly and drew away in the straight to win by a length-and-a-half in the Class 2 (1200m).

"It was a very good win,'' said Kendrick.

"She was impressive going back to back.

"She's by currrent leading Queensland sire Jet Spur."

Tanzanite's stylish win followed a win over the same distance in class one company at the same venue during a night meeting on January 30.

Owned by Ross and Judy Cutts, of Showtime Breeding, she has now won three of 15 career starts, with three other placings.
