FALCHION is back and flying.

The Falvelon three-year-old bolted in at his third run back from a lengthy injury-enforced spell.

Ridden by Ryan Wiggins, Falchion ($3.85) thrashed his rivals by more than four lengths in a Maiden (1000m) on the Sunshine Coast cushion track on Sunday, February 7.

"It was a satisfying win for connections after a good second last start,'' said trainer Stuart Kendrick.

"He has come back well after a long time off with knee problems," he said.

Falchion hadn't started since April last year when he won a Sunshine Coast trial in good fashion last month, signalling he was back near his best.

He missed a place first-up at Ipswich but was then just run down on the line when beaten in a photo at the Sunshine Coast over 1000m on a heavy track on January 31.

There was no chance of his rivals running him down on Sunday.

The gelding now has a win and three seconds from eight career starts.
