THREE-YEAR-OLD grey Camouflage certainly knows how to find the winning post.

The Murtajill gelding is one of Kendrick Racing's inform runners, bringing up a hat-trick with a midweek city win at Ipswich on Wednesday, April 20.

Ridden by Jim Byrne, Camouflage ($7) prevailed in a tight finish in a Class 4 (1350m).

"It was another gutsy effort from this horse,'' said trainer Stuart Kendrick.

"He's just so competitive and wants to win,'' he said.

Camouflage resumed with a solid sixth in Saturday metropolitan grade at the start of March.

Since then he has notched up three wins in a row at the Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast and Ipswich.

"He's just so versatile,'' said Kendrick.

"Often its horses for courses, but this bloke can win anywhere,'' he said.

"With the carnival upon us the races are getting tougher, but he's earned another crack at metropolitan company in the near future.

"I think he can make a good city class horse."
