EMIRATES Park three-year-old Badraan loves his new surrounds.

He stepped out for Kendrick Racing for the first time on Sunday, May 1, and immediately made a big impression.

Coming off consistent form in Sydney, the Bernadini gelding was too strong in the Maiden Plate (1400m) on the Sunshine Coast cushion track.

Ridden by James Orman, Badraan ($1.30-fav) bolted in by more than four lengths.

"We've had a good association with Emirates Park for some time, with the likes of Ella Enty,'' said trainer Stuart Kendrick.

"They recently sent us up a couple more with form just behind them in Sydney and he (Badraan) was the first of them to race for us," he said.

The win took his career record to one win and eight placings, including five runners-up cheques, in 12 starts.
