A SECOND-UP win by Ultroneous at the Gold Coast was extra rewarding for her owners.

"They raced her mother (Top Puss) and bred her,'' trainer Stuart Kendrick said after the three-year-old Helter Skelter filly broke through in a Maiden (900m) on Saturday, August 6.

Ridden by apprentice Adam Sewell, Ultroneous ($5) speared to the lead and held off her rivals to win well by a length.

"It was a very good win and she improved from her first-up third at Ipswich,'' Kendrick said.

"She's not a big filly but she has plenty of ticker,'' he said.
