THREE-YEAR-OLD colt Fast Trick was a popular winner at the Kendrick Racing Clients Race Day at the Sunshine Coast.

A huge roar went up in the trackside function centre, where more than 200 guests of the stable were enjoying the afternoon, when Fast Trick scored in the second race on Sunday, October 16.

Ridden by apprentice Adam Sewell, Fast Trick ($2.10-fav) won the Kendrick Racing Owners Maiden (1200m).

Trainer Stuart Kendrick said lots of guests backed the horse.

But he said it was also a satisfying win for connections.

"He was disappointing last time in. They stuck with him and he's come back and won well.

"They're a good bunch of blokes. He's managed by Shane Anderson, who works for me."

Kendrick said the horse was leased off Emirates Park.

"It was also good Emirates Park got a win and a second on the day,'' he said.

Another Emirates Park-owned horse Adhere had run second in race one.
