STRATUM four-year-old mare Heartford's career record is starting to look imposing.

She now has four wins and a second from seven starts after scoring at the Sunshine Coast on Sunday, November 20.

Ridden by Damian Browne, she bounced back after finishing out of the placings in a city race, winning impressively as an odds-on favourite.

Heartford ($1.80-fav) never looked in trouble in the run, scoring comfortably by one-and-three-quarter lengths in a Class 3 (1000m).

"She's a nice filly. She's done a good job since she came back," said trainer Stuart Kendrick.

"The 1300 metres at Eagle Farm (last start) was just a touch too far for her,'' he said.

"We freshened her up and brought her back to the 1000 and she got the job done.

"She's a well-bred filly and if we can find the right race – one of those nice fillies and mares midweeks – probably up to a maximum of 1200m around Doomben, she'll be hard to beat."

The win was the first leg of a winning treble at the Sunshine Coast for Kendrick Racing.
