BEAT Street has had the unkindest cut at all but it seems to have done the trick.

The four-year-old resumed after being gelded with a strong win in a Sunshine Coast Class 1 (1000m) on Sunday, November 27.

Ridden by Brad Pengelly, Beat Street ($2.70) wanted to hang a little around the turn but won the drive to the line.

It was his second win at career start number seven, and he's also had a couple of other placings.

"I've always had a big opinion of him,'' said trainer Stuart Kendrick.

"He was gelded after his last prep and he's bred to get over a trip,'' he said.

"I think if he puts it altogether he could be a very promising middle distance type."

The win marked a winning double for Kendrick Racing, after Lipsync had won earlier in the day.
