A TERRIFIC front-running ride by apprentice Adam Sewell has helped Orquesta break through.

The Pour Moi three-year-old filly notched her first win at start 10 in a Fillies and Mares Maiden (1200m) at Ipswich on Friday, December 2.

She started a $6 chance and held on by nearly a half-length after finishing runner-up four times previously, including twice at the same track from her past three.

"She has been very consistent and it was a well-deserved win,'' said trainer Stuart Kendrick.

"It was a great ride by Adam, rating her perfectly in front,'' he said.

"She's a very well bred filly. She was bred by Arrowfield."
