A WINNING double with Hidden Burst and Deb's Hope capped a good month in Townsville for Kendrick Racing.
Deb's Hope and Hidden Burst, both ridden by Adrian Coome, gave the stable two winners for the afternoon on January 23.
Hidden Burst kicked the day off by winning a F&M Maiden Plate (1000m) as $2 favourite before Deb's Hope won a Class 3 (1200m) as $1.80 favourite.
It was a well-deserved win for Hidden Burst, which had placed at her past five.
Deb's Hope is also consistent. She now has two wins and two seconds from four starts back from a freshen-up.
Earlier in the month, Ultrazonal, ridden by David Hayse, won a Class 2 (1000m) at Cluden Park .
Promising mare Pearson, ridden by Coome, also broke through at her first start for Kendrick Racing in Townsville on January 8.
She won a Maiden (1000m) as $1.45 favourite. The former Gai Waterhouse trained galloper had placed at Wyong at her only previous start before coming north.
"We've had some good success in Townsville in recent seasons," said trainer Stuart Kendrick.
