SHOW A Heart three-year-old Coral Bay has some well-performed siblings and now he’s shown he also has ability of his own.

The flashy chestnut gelding broke through at only his second career start at the Sunshine Coast on Sunday, August 28.

“He’s a full brother to the stakes performed Banda Spice and a half-brother to Raja Ampat,” trainer Stuart Kendrick after the impressive win in a Maiden (1200m).

“He put it all together today, winning in great style despite being trapped three wide,’’ Kendrick said.

Ridden by Tiffani Brooker, Coral Bay ($8.50) loomed up on the outside in the straight, despite the wide transit, and strode away to win by one-and-a-half lengths.

“It was a terrific effort,” Kendrick said.

Coral Bay had run a solid fifth over 1000m on debut.

The winkers went on for his second career assignment and he improved greatly on that first-up effort.

Coral Bay, out of Zilzie, is owned by his breeders Ross and Judy Cutts, of Showtime Breeding.
