I AM Invincible three-year-old So Invincible’s quirky habits make him a stable favourite.

So, it was tremendous to see him score a well-deserved midweek city win at Ipswich on Wednesday, May 30.

“He has a very quirky personality,’’ said trainer Stuart Kendrick.

“He’s very lazy around the stable. He wants to sink when he swims, putting his head underwater,’’ he said.

“He also sleeps all the time.”

So Invincible ($3.80) looked anything but sleepy when he scored his fourth win from 15 career starts in a CG&E Benchmark 65 (1200m), with Tiffani Brooker aboard.

It came after he finished runner-up over 1400m at the Sunshine Coast last start.

Kendrick said it was fitting that Brooker steered So Invincible to victory. It was the first time she had ridden him in a race since June last year.

“He was well ridden by Tiffani, who does all the hard work on him in the mornings,’’ he said.
