A WINNING treble at the Sunshine Coast capped a terrific weekend for Kendrick Racing.
The three winners on Sunday, July 15, took the stable's tally of winners to five for the weekend after saddling up a double at the Gold Coast on Saturday.
"We also had two second placings, so it was a fantastic weekend of results,'' said trainer Stuart Kendrick.
"Well done to the team, with everyone really stepping up this week,'' he said.
At Caloundra, Mr Strachan ($2.70-fav), ridden by Ryan Wiggins, kicked the treble off, winning the first, a Class 4 (1200m).
"He's back in the winner's stall after a good second last start,'' said Kendrick.
"He runs very well for Ryan Wiggins,'' he said.
Hingus Rose1
Hingus Rose ($2.80-fav), ridden by Damian Browne, then toughed it out to win a Class 3 (1400m).
She went straight to the front before holding off all challengers in the straight.
"She has now made it two wins this preparation,'' Kendrick said.
Cinzia ($6.50), ridden by Nathan Day, completed the treble when she won a Class 1 (1600m), showing she's a nice stayer in the making.
"She is a filly that continues to improve and, hopefully, she will continue to mature and develop into a nice staying  mare,'' said Kendrick.
