BLINKERS have switched I Dream of Green on.

The Unecumbered three-year-old broke through at his third start, and first run this preparation, in a Maiden (1200m) at the Gold Coast on Saturday, August 11.

Ridden by Brad Pengelly, I Dream of Green ($31) did it comfortably by two-and-three-quarter lengths, despite jumping from a wide gate.

"It was a great ride by Brad to get him across,'' said trainer Stuart Kendrick.

"The horse has shown ability since day one but has had his share of problems,'' he said.

"The addition of blinkers in his work had really switched him on and he ran right up to that work.

"Congratulations to the owners who have been very patient."
