SPEEDY six-year-old Misery has broken through at his second run for Kendrick Racing.
The gelding was previously trained by Darren Bell before having a handful of runs in Sydney for Bjorn Baker.
Trainer Stuart Kendrick said the horse had been showing plenty in track work since joining his stable at Caloundra.
"He's been flying in his work and he ran right up to that at Ipswich,'' he said.
Ridden by Michael Hellyer, Misery ($2.60-fav) found the lead and was far too strong in the run to the line in the Class 5 (1000m) on Saturday, August 18.
He was untroubled in winning by one-and-a-half lengths second-up from a spell, despite lumping top weight of 60.5kg.
