PROMISING three-year-old Fish 'N' Snitz will head to town after getting her maiden out of the way.

The filly, which ran well in good two-year-old company without winning, won her first start of the new season in a QTIS 3YO Benchmark 65 (1000m) on Sunday, August 19.

Fish 'N' Snitz ($1.90-fav), ridden by James Orman, raced just behind the speed and took her time in overhauling the leaders, but arrived in the last bound.

"She found the trip a bit short but finished very strongly,'' said trainer Stuart Kendrick.

"She will appreciated it as the distances get longer,'' he said.

"She is a lovely filly and will head to metropolitan grade next start."
