SPEEDY six-year-old Misery has earned another crack at metropolitan company.
The Natural Destiny gelding made it two wins from his past three by scoring a strong win in a Benchmark 85 (1000m) at the Sunshine Coast on Sunday, September 9.
Ridden by Matthew McGillivray, Misery ($1.70-fav) sat in second in the small field before racing away in the straight.
He was strong to the line, winning by three-quarters of a length.
The win and his last one at Ipswich back in August was split with a solid fifth in a metropolitan race at Caloundra on September 1.
“He is very consistent with a great record,’’ said trainer Stuart Kendrick.
“He will have another start in wo weeks over 1000m in metro grade,’’ he said.
The win marked the start of a double for the Kendrick Racing-McGillivray combination, also winning with Hingus Rose later in the afternoon.
