SUNSHINE Coast specialist Spur Le Jouer has shown he's not yet done with building on his amazing home track record.

The seven-year-old gelding added another Caloundra win to his tally, scoring a typically determined victory in an Open (1200m) on Sunday, December 9.

Ridden by Matthew McGillivray, Spur Le Jouer ($4.40) unleashed a strong finish down the outside to win in the final bound.

It was ninth win in 56 career starts, with all of those victories coming at his home track.

As well, all of his eight second placings and six of his 10 thirds have also been at the Sunshine Coast.

"He absolutely loves this track and its big straight and he's beaten a strong field today,'' trainer Stuart Kendrick said after the win.

"He's been a terrific money spinner for connections, having now won more than $313,000," he said.

"He'll now head for another run on Gold Coast Magic Millions Day in a QTIS race."

Spur Le Jouer ran a nice fourth at the Gold Coast on Magic Millions Day two years ago.

His win at the Sunshine Coast marked the start of a winning double for the stable, also winning with So Invincible.
