WRITTEN With Ease will go to the spelling paddock with a well-deserved city win under her belt.

The two-year-old filly broke through in a QTIS 2YO Maiden Plate (1350m) at Doomben on Wednesday, June 12.

Ridden by James Orman, she started a red-hot $1.45 favourite back in grade and did it with ease, winning by two-and-three quarter lengths.

"She will have a well-earned spell now,'' said trainer Stuart Kendrick.

"We were keen to get a two-year-old win on her form and to do it in the city is even better,'' he said.

"She's a well-bred filly from Tom Kelly at Newhaven Park. She races in the Douglas family colours, who have also had success with Embattled and Eric The Eel.

"She will now spell and may be aimed towards some black type in the spring."
