A HOME track win on the last day of the 2018-19 racing season by Coral Bay was a fitting finale for Kendrick Racing.
The flashy son of Show A Heart produced a last-to-first finish in a C&G Benchmark 70 (1200m) at the Sunshine Coast on Thursday, August 31.
"We've had a fantastic season, both here at Caloundra and overall, so it was a fitting end to 2018-19,'' said trainer Stuart Kendrick.
"He was well ridden by apprentice Baylee Nothdurft," he said.
"Congratulations to owners Ross and Judy Cutts."
Coral Bay has now won four of five runs at the Sunshine Coast 1200m and six of 10 starts at the track.
Kendrick Racing has now won six trainers' premierships in a row at the Sunshine Coast, adding to five in a row in Mackay before relocating south.
The stable also had plenty of success at other circuits, including in town, during the season.
Kendrick finished second in the Queensland provincial premiership and in the top 10 in the metropolitan premiership.
The stable had a breakout season with two-year-olds, with 13 individual winners.
