MORE Than Ready three-year-old Comogli has broken through in a big way.

The gelding flew home from last to win a CG&E Maiden (1400m) second-up from a spell at the Sunshine Coast on Sunday, September 8.

Backed in from big odds to start a $10 chance, he won by one-and-a-half lengths with Robbie Fradd aboard.

"He's a well-bred three-year-old and it was an impressive win," said trainer Stuart Kendrick.

"He came from last to win and was drawing away from them on the line,'' he said.

"He will continue to get better over more ground."

It was Comogli's fourth career start but first time beyond 1200m.

The win marked the start of a winning double for Kendrick Racing, also scoring later with the promising Winning Shot.
