PROMISING filly Winning Shot is back and looks destined for bigger things.
She ran slick time and beat the older horses first-up, winning a Class 1 (1000m) at the Sunshine Coast on Sunday, September 8, with plenty of authority.
Ridden by Tegan Harrison, Winning Shot ($2.60) proved too classy for favourite Ginger Beer, scoring by two-and-a-quarter lengths.
"She should improve greatly from the run,'' said trainer Stuart Kendrick.
"She will now head to a metro race,'' he said.
Winning Shot gave a hint of her ability, winning a Gold Coast F&M Maiden (1200m) on debut as a two-year-old back in March.
She was then given a let-up after taking on good two-year-old company at Doomben on April 20.
