stroakhalf230THE feats of Bryan Guy-trained two-year-old Stroak are the perfect advertisement for a filly bought by Kendrick Racing at the Magic Millions March sale.

The filly, lot 230, is a half-sister to the Real Saga filly which won two races in Brisbane before an unlucky fifth in this year's Magic Millions.

Trainer Stuart Kendrick is rapt in his purchase of the youngster, out of Redoute's Choice mare Cubism, believing she was one of the bargains of the sale.

"It was a real buyers' market and I thought she'd go for double the price tag,'' Kendrick said after buying  her for $23,000.

"She's by the impeccably –bred Red Ransom horse Red Element, which is a brother to champion mare Typhoon Tracy,'' he said.

"She was a horse that was highly recommended to me by Glenlogan Park's Steve Morley as one of his best fillies of the sale.

"She looks like she'll be an early two-year-old type.

"She's very correct and an athletic walking filly."

Kendrick Racing is currently syndicating the filly, with some shares already snapped up.

Shares are available for $1600 plus GST for a 5% interest or $3200 plus GST for 10%.

That includes the purchase price, GST, pay-up for Magic Millions, breaking in and transport.

Training is $135 a month plus GST on a fixed rate for a 5% share, or $270 a month plus GST for 10%.
